Summary:
Under the general direction of the Director of Residential Services or designee, the Camp & Volunteer Coordinator plans and supports the Camp Paradise operation and develops and coordinates volunteer activity and speaking engagements for the agency.
This position also coordinates the lending of durable medical equipment (DME) to the community through the Resource Center.
Essential Functions:
Serves as support for planning and operating Camp Paradise.
Responsible for coordination of communication and onboarding of camp counselors, paid and unpaid camp interns and volunteers.
Assists with monitoring of camp budget and donations.
Maintains all camp spreadsheets.
Coordinates camp planning meetings, camp schedules and programming.
Arranges daily community integration activities, outside activities and special events.
Monitors and ensures cleanliness and repair of camp's facilities.
Secures supplies, food and other related donations.
Reviews all camper applications and ensures processing is completed in a timely manner.
Coordinates payment or reimbursement with financial department.
Prepares associated camp documents.
Researches and works with development to prepare grants and foundation requests for camp operations.
Coordinates volunteer need meetings with operations.
Responsible for the recruitment of volunteers, development and coordination of a wide range of volunteer opportunities for the agency related to activities, special events and routine operations.
Develops and manages volunteer policies, procedures and standards of volunteer service.
Organize and participate in volunteer recognition programs and special events.
Arranges for volunteer onboarding including orientation and training.
Schedules and directs all volunteer activity.
Tracks volunteer hours.
Ensures all training requirements are met.
Maintains all volunteer files.
Works with marketing and public relations and professional associations to publicize opportunities for volunteers.
Coordinates the lending, return, and donations of DME associated with The Resource Center including inventory, routine maintenance and tracking of monetary donations.
Develops and maintains relationships with organizations within the area.
Secures speaking engagement opportunities for operations and other agency personnel.
Follows up with organizations to engage them with the agency.
Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude, teamwork and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate quality service delivery and a positive agency image.
Serves as an effective leader and communicator and is self-motivated, dependable, collaborative and has the ability to work flexible hours.
Adheres to The Society's policies and acts as a role model in adherence to these policies.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Bona-fide Occupationally Required Competencies and Credentials:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Passion for field of developmental disabilities.
Must have basic clerical skills.
Must have basic computer and word processing skills, exceptional organizational skills.
Must have experience working at Camp Paradise or in the field of developmental disabilities.
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License and good driving record and carry the proper liability insurance amounts required by The Society.
Location:
Camp Paradise, Main Office, Community as needed.
Travel:
Community activities as planned, meetings and site visits with the agency, job fair events.

Director of Residential Services or designee.

Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Work environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Based on results of the Hazard Assessment for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), PPE may be required as outlined in the Infection Prevention and Control Manual and/or the Covid-19 Safety Preparedness and Response Plan.
Required PPE may include:
gloves, masks, gowns, goggles, face shields and/or N95 respirators.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
